A Taste of Malaysia with Tedboy

Malaysia is a country made special by its people, cultures, traditions — and of course, food.

From the familiar comfort of nasi lemak and teh tarik to the rich flavours of pandan and durian, Malaysian food is all about bringing different tastes and traditions together. And at Tedboy, we love finding our own little ways to celebrate these flavours through our bakes, drinks and creations.

As a homegrown Malaysian bakery, Tedboy has always been about good food made for sharing. This Malaysian Day, we’re taking a moment to celebrate the local flavours we grew up with and the community that continues to inspire us.

A Little Malaysian Twist, The Tedboy Way 

While we’re known for our breads, pastries, cakes and coffee, you’ll also find plenty of familiar Malaysian flavours making their way into our menu.

Think pandan, gula melaka, coconut, durian and teh tarik — flavours that instantly feel like home, but with a little Tedboy twist. 

Our Pandan Layer Cake celebrates the fragrant flavour of pandan in a soft, delicate cake, while our Onde-Onde Cake takes inspiration from the much-loved Malaysian kuih, bringing together familiar flavours of pandan, coconut and gula melaka in cake form.

For something a little more uniquely Malaysian, our Durian Friands put one of Malaysia’s most iconic fruits front and centre in a buttery almond bake. And because no Malaysian celebration feels quite complete without teh tarik, our Teh Tarik Creme Brulee gives the classic Malaysian drink a fun dessert-inspired twist.
